Tomilho nos perfumes 

Tomilho é um gênero de plantas pertencentes à família Lamiaceae ou Labiatae . Várias plantas desta família são de grande valor perfumado, como menta e shiso , depois lavanda, manjericão, erva-cidreira, orégano, hissopo, sálvia, alecrim e finalmente patchouli.

A própria palavra "tomilho" vem do grego antigo θυμιαω (queimar, fumar, incensário).
